As much as we are committed to our on-court performances, Saints Netball is a club passionate about enabling our members to also be as good off the court.  We look to support our members to fulfill their potential, follow their dreams and to give something back to others, both locally and internationally.  We are proud to host coaching courses here at the University of St Andrews and we support our members through their coaching journey.

In January and February 2020, Saints Netball hosted a UKCC Level 1 here at the University of St Andrews.  As well as members of the local community, there were 10 Saints Netballers on the course.  Over the last 3 years, Saints Netball has supported the development of 40 new Level 1 netball coaches.  This is something we are extremely proud of.  If you would like to find out more about our Coach and Umpire developments plans, then please have a look at our website.

Each term, Saints Netball deploys volunteer coaches into local Primary Schools in St Andrews to run lunch-time and after school netball sessions.  In addition, we host primary festivals, as well as support the local High Schools with their netball programmes.  We will continue to send qualified coaches to Zambia and South Africa each summer and we look forward to developing these programmes over the next few years.

We would not be able to do such considerable work in this area if it wasn’t for the financial support from Western Union Business Solutions and Saints Sport.  Having a qualified workforce means that we can do more with our Community Engagement and International Volunteering work as well as run the 6 teams within the Saints Netball programme.

Congratulations to our new Level 1 Netball Coaches.  We are extremely proud of you and we look forward to seeing the positive impact you make in your coaching.
