Whether you are an experienced player wanting to excel through the performance programme or if you want to simply improve your fitness, meet friends and have fun, there’s a place for you in Saints Netball.
Saints Netball boasts an increasing player membership year on year. Even with Covid restrictions, we have doubled the number of players in our netball programme this year, creating 12 training bubbles, each with a bubble lead, Covid Officer and led by a qualified coach. We would normally compete each week in the British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS) League and we hope competitive netball will return in the 2021/2022 season.
Our recreational netball programme is something we are extremely proud of, providing so many students with the opportunity to play netball each week, informally and in a fun environment. We also organise several tournaments and leagues throughout the year.
As much as we are committed to our on-court performances, Saints Netball is a club passionate about enabling our members to reach their full potential off the court as well. We look to support our members to fulfil their aspirations, follow their dreams and to give something back to others, both locally and internationally. We are a unique club committed to continuous improvement and we strive to make each season even better than the last.
Saints Netball is your home away from home. Regardless of your playing level, or reason to be involved, we are sure that your time as a Saints Netballer will be one of your best memories at St Andrews.
“Saints Netball provides you with so many opportunities and experiences. I have gained my Level 1 and 2 coaching qualifications, I am on the way to achieving my B award umpiring qualification. I had the opportunity to be a part of the Scottish Student Sport Netball team for the past 3 years and play against the Irish National team both in Edinburgh and in Ireland with the financial and motivational support of Saints Sport and Saints Netball. I have also been able to compete in the top division of Scottish 1A in BUCS for 4 years, travel to England to play against English University teams and spend 5 weeks in South Africa coaching netball!! All of these things would never have been possible without Saints Netball. I am extremely grateful, the opportunities I have received as a result of Saints Netball has made who I am today”
