Saints Netballers, past and present, smash the 1500KM challenge to raise money for the NHS
WE DID IT!!! From the 20th to the 26th April 2020, Saints Netballers, both past and present, took part in a challenge to collectively run/walk 1500km in 7 days. We wanted to raise money for NHS Charities Together in order to show our appreciation for our wonderful NHS, the vital charities they support, and the brave frontline workers who are spending their days selflessly battling to save the lives of others. 
Overall, we absolutely smashed our target and managed to cover 1723KM in distance. This is an amazing achievement for USTA Netball. Through doing this, we have raised an incredible £1,130; a figure which is still rising!
A massive thank you and well done to everybody that took part in the challenge and helped us to reach that target. It was a massive group effort and it was great to see everyone taking part, no matter where we all are currently located in the world!
Another thank you goes to everyone who has kindly donated to our page, this is hugely appreciated.
The challenge was such a positive and rewarding experience, not only allowing the club to collectively work towards a goal for such an important cause, but it also helped aid our own physical and mental well-being during this unprecedented time (thankfully the weather was on our side for most of the week!).
It was especially heart-warming to see the social media throughout the week, from sweaty faces to selfies with pets, all playing a crucial role in continuing the supportive community feel that is so prominent within the club.
This challenge was never going to be easy, but once again our netballers proved resilient and determined. It allowed for the club to come together once again. Even if we were physically miles apart, the amazing individual efforts helped to achieve the greater collective aim. The enormous success of this challenge should make us all immensely proud to be a Saint and hopefully soon we can be reunited back on court doing what we love!
